N A U G H T Y . . W I T H . . T R I T O N E ~ A way of IR
As I continued to explore IR photography, the initial internal struggle within me began to subside.
The conflict that arises from the struggle between being a purist IR shooter and being a naughty colour manipulator.
I think I probably belong to the latter.

I see, wah lau, many of my friends all shooting IR portraitures like nobody's business. And I also wonder if I could give it a try.

How N A U G H T Y Can A Person be with
IR C O L O U R S??!!

Recently my brain seems to be fried until chao-dar or something...
Been trying to suppress an urge to sprinkle colours all over my IR photos.
I remember with a chuckle, what LowLights said about my IR colours still 'not yet as crazy as our Indonesian friend Rudy Tuahunse's multicoloured IRs' and I told myself what the heck...
So finally I let go of the inhibition a little. Must be all the chok-chok-ing from our Ah ChuA...
Nothing special here. Just some colouring done on a palette like a 5 year old child.

The East Side of Singapore
It has really been rainy these few days. We were lucky to have some sun yesterday.

Can't get enough of IR shooting.
Every moment simply thinking of IR.
I have a very strong feeling that an addiction has developed.
Despite her complaining about it, I think even Serene is already addicted too.
And we thought... what better way than to explore our own little city,
and bring out the IR-ness of it...

Abandoned Railway Track ~ IR 2 Apr 2010
[Click on the above title to go into the post]
The boys at ClubSNAP organised an IR photography outing and I couldn't remember who it was but someone suggested the old abandoned railway track at Clementi near Sunset Way.
Now that was a great place to shoot IR photographs.
And I started a thread in which several of the members namely Richard (LowLights), Kai Sing (vngks) and Alex (AlexK) contributed their works for the day. A very very good start to our IR group and the beginning of many more IR outings to come.

This year of 2010 is the year in which my IR fever reached a peak.
I shot almost nothing but IR.
Every moment of my waking time, I saw IR, I thought IR, I breathed IR and I shit IR.
Unbelievable was my passion for this genre of photography.
And when I found that the Tokina fisheye 10-17mm was THE lens for my Canon 20D R72 IR-modified camera, I grabbed it and started shooting.
And boy, did I play with this combination.
